London Luton Airport has a plethora of public transport options for getting to London and other parts of the UK as well as excellent car hire options and access to a good network of roads.

There are numerous bus services that serve the local area, London and farther afield as well as a shuttle bus service to the train station, from where rail services run to London and connect with the London Underground. A fleet of pricey taxis and limousines are also ready to whisk passengers into the city.

Travel by Buses
The Greenline 757 coach is one of the main bus services providing access to London from the airport, with good return rates and a ticket counter at Arrivals; buses depart from bays 10 to 12 and journey times can be up to 2 hours if traffic is bad. Easybus and Terravision Bus also have services to Baker Street Underground Station; return fares are a little cheaper than Greenline. Arriva bus number 31 and number 321 serve the local area as well as local bus number 88, while National Express buses serve London and Heathrow International Airport among other destinations.

Travel by Shuttle Buses
Regular shuttle bus services run between London Luton Airport (LTN) and Luton Airport Parkway Station, leaving from Bay 1. The shuttle service also provides transport to the airport from the train station for a nominal fee.

Travel by Trains
The fastest way to get to London from London Luton Airport (LTN) is to take the Luton Flyer service, a 60-minute journey, from the rail station in Luton city; access is provided by a fast shuttle link. Trains go to London Kings Cross Station throughout the day, departing every 30 minutes, and there is also a nightly service, while direct Thameslink trains go to Brighton, Midland Mainline Trains go to London and the north of England, and Virgin Rail Link trains go to Milton Keynes.

Travel by Taxi Cabs
London Luton Airport (LTN) has a few good taxi firms that run to central London and back, although taxi prices in the capital are notoriously expensive; a typical fare into central London from London Luton Airport would be about £70. Alpha Taxis and Luton Taxis have a fleet of cars ready to pick up passengers at the airport and they can also be pre-booked.

Travel by Limousines
Blueback, Ambassador Services and Black Cab London all provide comfortable transport into London from London Luton Airport (LTN).
